About me
My name is Laura, and I grow, gather and make bespoke medicines to support a path to better health. By listening to your experiences and priorities, I attune plant medicine to your unique needs.
Having witnessed the power of herbal medicine personally, I undertook four-years full-time training to become a medical herbalist and bring plant remedies to those in need.
In-depth professional training and specialised knowledge are required to use plant medicine safely and effectively. I am trained in the same diagnostic skills as GPs and can prescribe herbal medicine alongside other medication and treatments, avoiding negative interactions or contraindications.
Awarded a distinction in herbal medicine, honoured to receive the Catherine Johnson memorial cup for clinical excellence and invited to return to teach undergraduates, I bring proven attention to detail and commitment to my practice.
I proudly meet the high standards required by The National Institute of Medical Herbalists and abide by their ethics and code of practice.

Detailed consultations allow time to listen, enquire, and uncover the source of ill health. Powerful plant therapeutics are then matched to your unique requirements as bespoke remedies aligned to your needs. I also create a personalised treatment plan including supportive dietary and lifestyle advice guiding your journey to better health. In follow up appointments we review, adjust and respond to changing circumstances ensuring plant remedies continue to be well matched to your needs.

Many medicinal plants are grown here in the herbiary, or gathered locally. All are sourced with the highest quality and ethical sustainability in mind. Harvests are carefully prepared before healing properties are extracted in plant medicines.
Crafted in the apothecary, therapeutic remedies are designed to connect plants and their medicine with your return to health and well being.
Medicines can be created in the following ways:
tea infusions and inhalations
syrups, glycerites or tinctures (an alcoholic extract of plant properties)
dried herbal powders and capsules
topical creams, balms or massage oils
A combination is usually prescribed to optimise therapeutics and suit you and the patterns of your day.

Consultations can take place at my practice here at the apothecary in Stokeinteignhead or online.
Initial consultations last up to 1.5 hours and cost £75.00. From this consultation, a treatment plan is made to support you on your journey with plant medicine. Follow-up appointments are 30 minutes and cost £35.00. Additionally, herbal medicines typically cost £10 - £15 per week.
